Hayley and Matt’s wedding brought colour, emotion and unforgettable family moments into one joyful celebration. Their day honoured their story as a couple and as a family. As a Somerset wedding videographer, we felt privileged to capture their connection and the many heartfelt scenes that shaped their rustic wedding. Throughout the day, the atmosphere stayed warm and full of genuine affection.
A Colourful Beginning at The Swan at Streatley

The morning began at The Swan at Streatley where Hayley enjoyed a calm and welcoming space. Soon after, her bridesmaids shared a joyful first look which sparked an emotional start to the day. Moments later, a second first look with her dad and her two sons added tenderness and meaning. Together, these early scenes showed how important this rustic wedding was to her. Additionally, the riverside setting created a peaceful tone that supported their vibrant theme beautifully.
A Heartfelt Ceremony at The Swan at Streatley

Guests admired the riverside views as Hayley walked down the aisle at 1pm. Meanwhile, The Swan at Streatley offered a timeless backdrop that suited their rustic wedding perfectly. The ceremony felt intimate and sincere because it reflected their bond and their journey as a family. Their sons played central roles and added touching moments throughout the vows. As the ceremony continued, the setting helped every detail feel natural and full of warmth.
A Reception Filled With Joy and Family Moments

The reception took place at the same venue which kept the flow relaxed and smooth. During the wedding breakfast, speeches from Hayley’s dad, Matt’s dad and the bridesmaids added humour and emotion. As a result, guests listened closely and celebrated the couple’s story with genuine affection. Each speech also deepened the warmth and connection felt throughout the day.
Later in the evening, their first dance held a meaningful surprise. Hayley and Matt planned a “Circle of Life” moment with help from the bridesmaids. Their boys were set to run onto the stage and be lifted just like Simba. Consequently, this symbolic scene honoured their journey as parents and created a memory their family will cherish.
Why The Swan at Streatley Was the Perfect Venue

The Swan at Streatley held personal meaning for Hayley long before her wedding day. She first visited it during her events career when the venue was still under construction. Over time, she imagined what it would become and hoped it would be part of her future. Eventually, she introduced Matt to the venue and he loved it as well. As a result, choosing it felt natural and deeply personal.
The Swan at Streatley offered space, comfort and a scenic riverside setting. Its atmosphere aligned perfectly with their rustic wedding vision. Additionally, its warm interior allowed them to balance elegance and personality. Furthermore, the venue gave them the chance to spend the entire day in one meaningful location. Together, these qualities created the ideal setting for their celebration.
A Story Rooted in Family

Hayley and Matt met online and grew a life filled with love, strength and two sons. Their wedding allowed them to unite their family under one name which meant everything to them. Their signage saying “Daddy it’s time to give Mummy our last name” expressed their intention with honesty and heart. The day reflected their journey as a family from the very beginning.
Looking ahead, they want to remember natural moments. They hope to see guests enjoying themselves and the small scenes they might have missed. These memories remind them why choosing a wedding videographer mattered so much. Capturing those moments allows them to relive the day with clarity and emotion.
