The couple chose Clevedon Hall because of its charm, sweeping grounds, and sense of history. After searching through countless venues online, they knew this was the place for them. The July sunshine brought the gardens to life, setting the perfect backdrop for their ceremony. With 62 loved ones gathered, the atmosphere felt both intimate and grand.
Alice walked down the aisle in her Wed2Be gown, greeted by James and a sea of smiling faces. Their vows were filled with love and laughter, creating a moment that felt timeless. Guests enjoyed the garden surroundings before moving seamlessly into the reception.
A Day Filled with Personality and Joy
Alice and James brought their personalities into every detail of the day. The colour palette of pink, purple, and green reflected their favourite shades and added a lively vibrance to the decor. Their reception began at 2pm, with plenty of time for mingling, laughter, and candid moments.
The speeches at 6:30pm brought heartfelt emotion, especially from Alice’s mother and brother, whose words captured the warmth of the day. Later, Alice and James shared their first dance at 8pm beneath the hall’s grand chandeliers, kicking off a night of music and celebration with Alan Soundwave Entertainment.
From London to ‘I Do’
Alice and James first met in London when Alice was visiting her aunt. With a little help from a friend acting as a wingwoman, their story began in the most unexpected way. Years later, James proposed in Oxford with a playful “application to be your husband,” a personal touch that reflected their fun and supportive relationship.
