Hannah & Daniel’s Manor Farm Wedding: From Church Friends to Forever

Some love stories begin with a little help from the people who know you best. For Hannah and Daniel, that help came from Hannah’s parents, who introduced them at church in Bath. Years later, their Manor Farm wedding brought that story beautifully full circle. First, they said their vows at St Mary’s Church in Bitton. Then, they celebrated in a rustic barn surrounded by the people they love most. As a Somerset wedding videographer team, we felt so lucky to capture it all.

From Church Friends to a Manor Farm Wedding

Hannah grew up in Bath before moving to Winchester for university. Eventually, she moved back home. Meanwhile, Daniel came to Bath for university and simply never left. Hannah’s parents were quietly hopeful the two would get together, so they made the introduction at church.

However, romance didn’t happen straight away. Instead, the pair ended up working together in a bar and became really good friends. After about nine months of friendship, they finally went out for food together. That evening at Franco Manca soon became their first date.

Then, in August 2025, Daniel proposed outside the Manor in Castle Combe. It was the perfect setting for the next chapter of a story built on friendship.

Planning a Rustic Manor Farm Wedding in Dusty Blue

From the start, Hannah and Daniel knew exactly how they wanted the day to feel. They chose a palette of dusty blue and white, with relaxed, rustic farmhouse touches. In addition, Hannah designed and made all of their wedding stationery herself. Similarly, the bridesmaids took care of hair and make-up, which kept the morning personal and calm.

Above all, the couple simply looked forward to marrying each other. Celebrating with their friends mattered just as much. That focus shaped every choice they made.

A Joyful Church Ceremony in Bitton

Next, everyone gathered at St Mary’s Church in Bitton for an afternoon ceremony. Fittingly, a couple who first met at church chose to marry in one. Before the service began, Daniel’s dad played guitar as guests took their seats. This beautifully personal touch set a warm tone for the rest of the day. Afterwards, Hannah and Daniel stepped outside to a cheerful confetti exit.

Barn Celebrations at Manor Farm

Back at Manor Farm, welcome drinks flowed while guests enjoyed lawn games outside the barn. Later, everyone sat down to a delicious meal from Wild Herb Kitchen & Catering. Speeches followed from Hannah’s dad, the best man, the maid of honour and Daniel himself.

As the evening guests arrived, the couple cut their wedding cake together. Soon after, Funk City Party Band took to the stage for the first dance. From then on, the dance floor stayed full all night. Finally, a glowing sparkler exit brought the celebrations to a magical close.

The Moments That Mattered Most

We asked Hannah and Daniel which shot would make them smile in ten years. Their answer was wonderfully simple. They wanted candid laughter, plenty of friends and family, and genuine moments together.

That is exactly how we love to film. As a wedding videographer in Bristol and beyond, we blend in quietly and let the day unfold naturally. As a result, their Manor Farm wedding film is full of real, unscripted moments. One of our favourites shows Hannah dancing with her grandpa as the band played.

Why Manor Farm Was the Ideal Venue

Hannah and Daniel were keen on a barn reception, so Manor Farm felt right straight away. The venue sits in the countryside at Upton Cheyney, on the edge of Bristol. Its rustic barn suited their dusty blue palette perfectly.

Moreover, the couple loved how lovely and accommodating the Manor Farm team were. In addition, the lawn gave guests space to relax between drinks, games and dancing. For a relaxed, rustic Manor Farm wedding close to Bath and Bristol, it really was the ideal choice.

Hannah and Daniel’s Top Planning Tip

Their best advice is to keep an up-to-date to-do list. Then, try to tick off a couple of things every week. Above all, start earlier than you think you need to. It’s simple, practical advice that every couple can use.
